About Founders
राणी जानकीबाईसाहेब वैद्यकीय संस्थेचे भाईसाहेब सावंत आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालय, सावंतवाडी ही ज्ञानगंगा आणण्यासाठी कोकणचे सुपुत्र माजी आरोग्य व वैद्यकीय शिक्षण खात्याचे मंत्री नामदार स्वर्गीय भाईसाहेब सावंत यांचे भगीरथ प्रयत्न कारणीभूत ठरले. आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालय सावंतवाडीच्या निर्मितीमागे आयुर्वेदोपासक वैद्य जयवंत बाळकृष्ण नाईक यांची मूळ संकल्पना व प्रेरणा जशी आहे तशीच स्वर्गीय शेठ श्री. वसंतराव केसरकर, श्री. माधवराव मसुरकर यांचे अनमोल सहाय्य व श्री. अनंतराव पोकळे यांचेही अथक परिश्रम कारणीभूत आहेत.
